Quick answer: Pick the shared shuttle bus if you travel alone or as a pair, carry one suitcase each, and your hotel is on a main route. Pick the private transfer if you travel as a family or group, need a child seat, carry more luggage, or are going to a villa or private house.

How we wrote this comparison: Intui's live site blocks automated access, so we used copies of Intui's own help pages from mid-2026, and some older help pages from 2023 and 2024 where noted. We have not used these services ourselves, so we do not judge driver quality or comfort. Prices are Intui's "from" prices, checked on 6 October 2026 in the sources above. Real prices appear only after a live search.

The "from" prices come from Intui's homepage (copy dated 9 June 2026). They are the lowest prices Intui shows, not typical prices for every route.

Price and value

The main difference is how the price is counted. According to Intui's terms, the price is for the whole vehicle, except for shuttle buses, which are priced per person. This changes the maths a lot.

The store lists shuttle and economy seats from 3 EUR and private transfers from 7 EUR. These are starting prices only. We did not find a real route price, so we cannot say what a given airport run will cost. Run a search for your route and compare the totals.

Some simple group maths helps:

  • One traveller: a shuttle seat will usually cost less than a whole car.
  • Two travellers: compare two shuttle seats with one private car. The gap may be small.
  • Four to six travellers: several shuttle seats add up, while one private minivan is one price. Here the private option can be the better value.

Intui says prices include taxes, fees, parking, fuel and toll roads. Ferries and other exceptions are listed under "Details and Conditions" on each offer, so read that part before you pay. Intui also says the price is set by district, and an address outside the stated district can change the price.

Comfort, route and flexibility

A shuttle is shared. It runs between the airport and main hotels, so it may stop for other passengers. Intui's terms for shuttle offers say they may not go to private villas or houses. If your stay is in a villa, check the offer details first, because the shuttle can refuse the address.

A private transfer is booked for your party. Intui describes private options as meeting with a sign, standard cars, business class cars, limousines and convertibles. The driver takes you to a hotel, villa or any address that fits the offer's district. This suits late arrivals, tired children and people who do not want to wait for other passengers.

Intui does not own cars. Local licensed carriers run the trips, and your transport contract is with the carrier. This is true for both types, so the car you get depends on the carrier and the offer.

Luggage and child seats

Intui's help page (copy dated September 2024) says the standard suitcase is up to 68 x 53 x 35 cm. On a shuttle, the standard allowance is one suitcase and one hand luggage per person. The carrier can refuse boarding if your luggage is over the limit. If you bring extra bags, skis, golf bags or a stroller, a shuttle is a risky choice.

On a private transfer, the maximum luggage is shown for each car. Pick a car whose listed capacity fits your bags. Intui's homepage also lists extra luggage as an extended service.

Child seats are the clearest split. According to Intui's help page (copy dated February 2024), child seats and boosters are offered only on private transfers, never on shuttles. They can be free or paid depending on the carrier, and they are often possible only when you book. The same page says some countries, such as Turkey, do not require them. If you travel with a small child, a private transfer is the practical choice.

Payment and booking time

Shuttle transfers need 100% prepayment, according to an Intui help page (copy dated July 2024). Private transfers can be paid in full online. Some offers allow part online and the rest in cash to the driver, but only where the carrier accepts cash. Both amounts are shown before you pay. The cash part depends on that day's exchange rate, according to Intui's terms.

Booking deadlines are set by each carrier and shown per car. Intui's catalogue page (copy dated November 2025) says shuttle transfers often cannot be booked less than 24 or 48 hours before arrival, while private transfers can be booked 2 to 12 hours ahead. So a private car is the better fallback for a late plan. Intui recommends booking from a month to 12 months ahead.

Intui also does not guarantee that every request is accepted. If no carrier is found, Intui tells you by e-mail.

Delivery, returns and warranty

Intui sells services, so there is no delivery or warranty. What matters is the booking confirmation, waiting time and cancellation. We found no rule that treats shuttle and private bookings differently, except for payment and child seats above.

  • Booking confirmation: sent by e-mail after payment and carrier confirmation. It has the meeting point and the carrier's and driver's phone numbers.
  • Waiting time: listed per car. For offers carrying the label "If flight delayed, we wait. No extra charge.", Intui's terms give a free wait of up to two hours past the scheduled time. Check which of your two options carries this mark. If you do not tell the carrier about a new flight time, Intui's help page says the carrier may simply arrive at the time you booked, and the trip is then treated as done.
  • Cancellation: the carrier sets a free-cancellation deadline per offer, shown before you book and in the order. Cancelling yourself in the Personal Account is free before the first trip. Cancelling through support by e-mail costs 10 EUR. One leg of a round trip, cancelled after the first leg, costs 15 EUR and must be done 48 hours ahead.
  • No-show: if you do not show up, the order counts as provided and is not refunded. This matters more for a prepaid shuttle, because the whole amount is paid in advance.
  • Refunds: Intui's older help page (2024) gives a refund time of one to five working days, and the payment provider may keep a fee. We could not confirm the current fees.

If the carrier does not turn up through its own fault, Intui's terms say it refunds the unfulfilled trip. Complaints must be sent in writing within 20 days. On Trustpilot, Intui holds 3.8 out of 5 from 493 reviews (checked 6 October 2026). Reviewers praise punctual drivers and easy booking. Complaints mention driver no-shows, cars that differ from the description and refund deductions.

Who should buy the shuttle bus

  • Solo travellers and couples who want the lowest price.
  • People with one suitcase and one hand bag each.
  • Guests whose hotel is on a main route.
  • Travellers who can plan at least 24 to 48 hours ahead and accept full prepayment.
  • Anyone who does not mind a shared ride with other stops.

Who should buy the private transfer

  • Families with small children who need a child seat or booster.
  • Groups of four or more, where one vehicle can cost less than many seats.
  • Travellers with extra luggage or sports gear.
  • Guests going to a villa, private house or any address off the main shuttle route.
  • People who book late, or want to pay part in cash where offered.

Our verdict

For a lone traveller or a couple with light bags, the shuttle bus is the cheaper choice. Check the drop-off address, the luggage limit and the cancellation deadline before you pay, because the full amount is prepaid.

For families, groups, heavy luggage or a villa stay, choose the private transfer. You get child seats, a clearer luggage limit and one price for the whole vehicle. For a party of four or more, compare the total for a private minivan with the total for all shuttle seats before you decide.

In both cases, read the "Details and Conditions" of the exact offer. Waiting time, luggage and cancellation are set by the carrier and can differ from offer to offer.
